Crystal Castles rucking with security at Sonar

Apparently down to the sound quality, which as anyone who has been to Sonar will know can be muddy as f**k.

Killa Kela - new official video

Killa Kela's back, this is the new single out on June 29, and album Amplified is due late summer. He's got a headline gig at Cargo on July 8th too. Hopefully he's left the crooning and weak R&B behind and is focusing on what he's good at.

Grime MC Ghetto waxing lyrical on Wiley, Skepta and Bashy's albums and supergroup The Movement

So this is super talented grime MC Ghetto (you haven't ever seen anyone with a flow or nervous energy like Ghetts) waxing lyrical on the flurry of recent grime LPs, grime supergroup the Movement and major label runnings. This was shot behind the scenes of LIVE magazine's five a side football feature and photo shoot - grime versus UK rock. Good work Sian and the LIVE crew for pulling this off, and to the weather for holding up!

New Virus Syndicate video - Believe

PR blurb:

In the wake of the Mosquito EP release from Virus Syndicate we now have the music video for the thoughtful song ‘Believe’ as we await the deadly attack of Malaria; their second EP released July 6th .

As Virus Syndicate enter the second phase of the ‘Break Out Trilogy’ of EP’s ‘Believe’ speaks to the meaningful side of the soul. While Dionne’s satisfying vocals are heard we are taken on a journey of loved lost seemingly never to return.

Manchester based Virus Syndicate are continuing their rise to cult status with the current EP release ‘Mosquito’ off Contagious Music and will soon fuel the fire wit the up and coming ‘Malaria’ EP ft Kromestar. Released July 6.

DJ Vamanos - Train Wreck mix

I first stumbled across fellow Brixton boy DJ Vamanos at the turn of 009 while hunting around for global ghetto sounds - you know the hard ass, rowdy, raw and energetic as f**k music whether dancehall, kuduro, baile funk. He'd just come back from Nicaragua with a record box (or pro logic case) of reggaeton, bassline and merengue. He's making moves and is down with Radioclit who in turn are down with Diplo. Here's his latest mix of tropical jams from Africa, Latin America and Caribbean.

Tracklisting here:

Black Dice - Endless Happiness (DFA/Fatcat Records)
Aniceto Molina - La Cumbia Sampuesana
Sonido Siboney - Cumbia Lorana (Live)

Taking you to the windswept caribbean coasts of South America, Vallenato.co.uk, will play the sweet sounds of cuuuuuumbia!! They are one of the only Vallenato bands in Europe keeping the roots alive and are going to mash up all your favourite cumbia jams in a nonstop sun-drenched tropical hoedown.

Joining them, A.J. Holmes and The Hackney Empire, who absolutely destroyed it last month, and are officially the best house band in London will play their awesome Palm wine tropical bangers.
